Charleston through the eyes of Women

Book A Tour!

Welcome to Charleston Choice Tours

Witness the beauty and grandeur of these charming private homes as you hear stories about the people who lived in them.

Travel back in time and tour Charleston through the eyes of the women and the generations of families who lived here.

Our focus will include the answers to these and more!

*What did the Charleston Women do in a British occupied city during the Revolutionary war when the men were gone, fighting?

*Why did a former slave get into buying and selling slaves herself?

*How can a colonial woman make her future husband sign a pre-nup?

*Who’s paintings saved the African American flower sellers, who made their living setting them on the streets of Charleston?

*What is the connection between Charleston and the movie, Gone With the Wind?

*Who saved many buildings so they can be enjoyed by guests and locals alike?

You will get the answers to these questions and more when you take my guided small group walking tour.

I am Leah Middleton, certified local tour guide, who’s family traces back 350 years of history.

We will focus on the old historic streets of Charleston, King Street, Meeting Street, Tradd Street, South Battery, White Point Gardens, and Rainbow Row.

Meet me at 9:30 at 83 Broad Street in front of the Post Office. We will end at Waterfront Park by the Pineapple Fountain.
